1000 moments
I love taking pictures of people. I think people are so interesting and unique and so changing that's it really awesome to capture anyone in one moment of their life. It's fascinating how different everyone is, even though we are all still human beings.
I just ran across Karen Walrond's blog Chookooloonks, which seems pretty cool in and of itself, but is more importantly when I found this awesome idea: taking 1000 portraits. She has set herself a goal to take 1000 pictures of people, for no other reason than to do so. I LOVE this idea. Seriously. I thought about doing a Photo 365 project where I would take a picture of a person everyday, but that would end up being 40% Katy, 30% Kavya, 30% other people; and as much as I love Katy's face, I love diversity too. But the idea of taking 1000 portraits . . . .
I think I might do it. Could I do it? Definitely. (Especially since I expect to have seventy more years to try). I want more than just a portrait though, I want words, and an explanation of that moment in someone's life. But that's totally do-able too. This is going to be great.
Here's a picture of Katy, just for fun and cause I think she's cute :)

She's working
We were working in the living room and I asked Katy if I could take some pictures of her. She's so studious!

[Word of the Day] Cheer Up!
Cheer up! = ¡AnĂmate!
It's my birthday in three hours, and even though I'm doing homework now, it's all gonna be worth it!
Also, Katy's mandolin string broke. ¡AnĂmate, Katy!

Birthday Cake
I went home this weekend to celebrate my 21st birthday (and my daddy's birthday too). Ashley and I spent quite a bit of the day on Saturday baking a cake!
I think it turned out to be very pretty. We weren't patient enough to want to do any fancy frosting.
But check out the inside:
Purple!
SO delicious.

Disappointment
We were so excited.
We knew we were going to win.
Even up til the very end, I had faith (Kavya knew better).
Sigh. But still.
I can't believe it. And I don't even like sports that much!
Til next time.

Leaving HSC
Had to leave one of my favorite people this morning. Not the most fun thing in the world. But i suppose school is a necessity even if it means waking up early in the morning.
This morning was the coldest I've experienced - frost on the ground and everything - but the sun was out and it really was a very pretty day.
Phone pictures, obviously not the best
North Carolina!
